This is one of the villages one must visit on Samos. It is located high on the green slopes of the Ambelos range.
It is not possible to enter the village by car, so park the your car outside the village or take the walk from the main road and enjoy the narrow streets and the small square in the centre of the village. Here you’ll find several tavernas. Some are only temporary, but “Blue Chairs” have been there from the first time we visited Samos in 1992, and serve excellent food. Our son rate their Chickpea balls (revithokeftedes) as the best on the island.
